The busiest time of the year has almost arrived and in perfect timing with this book in my hand. I am convinced this book will help get us through the chaos of ribbons and lights. Lysa seriously puts decision making in perspective and breaks down how to tell someone 'No' when you want to (crazy thought... I get it). As queen of over committing myself, The Best Yes is transforming my calendar into a peaceful place to be. This book taught me to remember my end goal before I commit to a new adventure.
I was raised in a 'bless your heart,' mashed potatoes, yes sir and hey y'all kind of world where saying no to another volunteer opportunity would have been unheard of. Lysa uses her writing talent to show that Jesus is the best yes and if we have to give up financial, spiritual, physical, or mental peace to say yes... it is NOT worth it. (I repeat... not worth it.)
This book has helped me in my day-to-day decision making (not to mention those BIG LIFE decisions too). If you are looking for a place to grow in your commitment skills, this is the read for you.
