GirlBoss is a book any young entrepreneur should have on their shelf (I am looking at you bloggers...) This book takes you through the story of one girl who killed it in her small corner of the world to make an empire. It talks about the struggles we all face with business and how she overcame it. Spoiler: There is also a Netflix show about it.... and I may or may not have bing watched it.
3. Girl, Wash Your Face
Okay, every single blogger on the planet is talking about this book, but RACHEL HOLLIS SHOWS UP. Ya'll, she brings the heat and tells it like it is. Life may be tough, but sitting down to cry won't help (although, we do believe in healthy grieving habits... see book #1). Rachel said one thing that I have reminded myself of almost everyday since I finished her book: "What would the best version of you do right now?" When I am tired and want to hit snooze, this question helps me get my butt up and on the treadmill. Go right now and buy a copy of this book. You can thank me later.
4. Glass Castle
This book is about a social light who has parents who prefer to be homeless and unattached. The social light has a stable income and wants to help her parents, but they don't want it. This book is an easy read and will really open the eyes of any reader to a life that may not be what we all assume is a "successful life." I seriously am asking myself now... what is my definition of a successful life. What would you say is yours?
