It is the second week in March and for me that means time to high tail it out of work and find a vacation spot. This year I visited friends in Vail, Colorado for a few days.
I have flown to Colorado maybe a handful of times in my life, and I have never once made it there on the scheduled time (thanks airlines...)This time was no different, except that my flight was cancelled because the pilot's chair would not adjust properly. Now I am not a pilot, so I will defer my sassy comments to people with experience.... BUT I work standing up on the reg, just saying.
I was luckily rerouted through NYC (Hello Lady Liberty and Melania) and landed a flight to CO by midnight. PHEW. Gotta L.O.V.E. flying. Next year let's stick to the all inclusive beach resort.... plah-ease.
The adventure continued from there as I met up with my sweet friend and we realized there were no more options to get to Vail that night except by bus. Yep. We rode the bus. $17 dollars and 2.5 hours later we arrived in Vail. There was, however, an extremely cute puppy on the bus so that made it somewhat bearable. The late arrival (by bus) did nothing to our spirits or our plans, surprisingly. Here are my TOP THREE from Vail, CO:
